An incredible amount of ridicule is pervading modern society; much of it is currently directed at men and particularly their maleness. There are several reasons for this, some are worthy causes like those trying to curb the huge rise in domestic violence in Western cultures, but others are merely continuing the prolonged campaign of rebellion against men's authority in society which began with the arrival of the modern feminist movement.

Attacks Against Maleness
(Genesis 1:26-28)
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
God is the creator of all mankind and as the creator it is He who has authority over our lives and it is to Him that we will all ultimately have to answer for the lives we have lived within His creation.
God created both male and female, placed them in the Garden of Eden, and made them a team to work together to subdue and have dominion over the earth. Much of the criticism of males is merely because of our gender, and not specifically anything that we have done as an individual male. Those criticizing males paint every male with the same brush stroke and they attempt to shame us into feeling guilty merely because we were born a man and not a woman.
These constant attacks against males bring division within the family unit especially when they are believed and espoused by females. The team that God put together to rule over His creation in many cases are no longer working as a team but as individuals vying for power and control. The family unit is suffering and in many cases failing as a result of the power struggle that has developed. It is the children of these families, those needing their father's protection and direction in life, that suffer the most from marriage and family breakdown.
We as men don't need to compete with our spouses, for God did not make us competitors but joint heirs of all the goodness He created. However, every team needs leadership and that is especially true within the home environment.
It is God who chooses what sex we are, not ourselves, and He certainly does not give anyone the right to change or alter that which He has made. If you were born a male it was because that's what God wanted you to be, and as a male, we should be proud and thankful to God for who and what we are!
There are however, evil forces within the world that are trying incredibly hard to make us feel ashamed of our maleness, often this is because they are in rebellion against God and the males whom He appointed as the leaders of the family unit and society.

Attacks Against Positional Authority
(Genesis 3:16)
To the woman He said:
I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.
(Ephesians 5:22-24)
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
God created Adam first and then He created Eve from a rib that He had taken from Adam. The woman was created as a helpmate to partner with man and to assist him in his God-appointed job to rule wisely over the world that was created. Without women, we could not have formed families and without families, we could not have developed communities and society in general.
God in His role as Creator has made everything we see, feel, and experience within His creation. He is the owner and ruler of His creation and it was He who delegated part of His authority to the man (Adam) He had made.
Adam didn't usurp this authority or steal it from God, it was given to him as a means to rule effectively over that which was made.

Lucifer's rebellion
(Isaiah 14:12-15)
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit
There was, however, another being that was found within the Garden of Eden, another created being but unlike the man whom God has chosen to rule over creation. This being had originally been one of the leading angels in heaven but had been cast out after rebelling against God's authority and fell to the earth.
Lucifer had become filled with pride because of his great beauty and position of authority and decided that all the heavenly hosts should worship him rather than God. The scripture says that Lucifer formed the sin of rebellion within himself and he was stripped of both his beauty and authority and became known as Satan or the Devil, and his name means 'the adversary'. Satan is both God's and man's adversary' and does everything within his power to destroy those things that God has made, especially Mankind whom God created in His own image and likeness.
Satan knew that he could not overcome God's Almighty power and so instead chose to attack his created beings, specifically Adam and Eve whom God had made. We read in Genesis 3 how he came into the garden and deceived Eve into eating from the one tree that God had forbidden them to eat from, and she gave to Adam and he also ate. This act of disobedience destroyed the intimate relationship they had previously experienced with God and resulted in Satan's sinful nature entering mankind and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
Deception is always the first tool that Satan uses against mankind and unfortunately, it has been incredibly successful in leading God's children away from Him and into the bondage of sin.

Attacks Against The Family And Home
(Ephesians 5:25)
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her
Satan's first and foremost goal is to ensure that mankind does not reconnect with their creator through receiving the forgiveness and mercy that became available through Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Secondly, he knows that a strong marriage leads to a strong family which collectively can build a strong society and therefore he continues to do everything he can to bring deception and division within the home.
It saddens me that so many women feel that they have been ripped off or disadvantaged merely because they were born female. Females are amazing human beings, fearfully and wonderfully made by our Heavenly Father and they need to embrace their womanhood and the roles that God has given them in the family and society.
I can only surmise that those who are continually trying to break the "perceived" male dominance of society feel ashamed of being female, and they should be proud and thankful for the gift of life. just as males should too.
I believe it's vitally important that we as individuals, whether male or female, realize that there is much more at stake here than winning an argument over who's right and who's wrong. Eternity awaits all of us and the children we have been given! Our role as parents should first be to ensure that we individually reconnect with our Heavenly Father and Creator and then reunite as the marriage team God called us originally to be.
In this way, we can be the very best example of God's love and life to our children and will assist them in finding Christ as their savior and enjoying the blessings of heaven with us.
God Bless
